Is USACO 2025-2026 season schedule released?
No, not yet. Should be soon though.
estimated to be around december 13~16
can i participate independent from my schhol, is it too late to sign up for USACO bronze, is it okay to learn python for bronze (ik c++ is better but i do not think ill have enough time to learn it)
- Not sure what you mean, but you can take the contest wherever you want
- No, just go here and make an account
- Yes, but you should learn c++ for Silver and above. In Bronze, python is almost always fast enough
Not yet, anyone can ask the host?
yeah, it was released this morning ![]()
surprisingly, there is no december contest this year; january and february have somehow been crammed together:
Jan 9 - 12: First Contest
Jan 30 - Feb 2: Second Contest
Feb 20 - 23: Third Contest
Mar 28: US Open (Proctored)
US open has gone back to proctoring, but i believe y’all will pass ur current level this year ![]()
I don’t really understand it. If I am trying to pass Silver, then do i need to worry about all this new stuff with the proctored US Open? And do in-contest promotions work the same?
ok
so for example, if you pass silver during the january contests (either one), well then u get to take the gold US Open.
Only if you pass the Gold US Open as well, do you need to worry about proctoring.
as shown here:

For each contest, USA students
wishing to receive a certified
score in the platinum or gold
contest must start Saturday at
12:00 ET, when problems in those
divisions will be first released
so only if u managed to survive silver, then in order to get to platinum by passing gold, u need to start at Saturday 12:00 ET.
thanks, i was actually getting frustrated when i first saw this, because i was fully ready and then suddenly my plan just got ruined. But still, thanks for letting me know.
yeah, same here
except i was planning to travel the day before usaco, so at least we all get extra time to prep now : )
