IOI 2013 Dreaming is put in the additional practice module for Silver. However, the external solution linked is just the IOI 2013 problemset, which has no editorials.. I did solve the problem, but it was extremely complicated and abused DP on Trees. I feel like there is a better way, and I do see much simpler solutions on the submissions page on oj.uz but I can’t understand their code. Where can I find an editorial for this problem?

idk, but the simplest solutions probably follow the approach described by Michal Forišek

separately, this probably isn’t good practice for Silver – although tree diameter is introduced in the Silver section of USACO Guide, I don’t remember any past Silver problem requiring this knowledge.
